"Toukaiya," a venture undertaken by Fudita Suisan since 1912, preserves the history and environment of Mitoyo while offering a unique experience. Located in Mitoyo City, Kagawa Prefecture, where tradition meets modernity, "Toukaiya" presents a captivating blend of local history and ambiance.
Every day, the restaurant serves a different daily set meal, providing an array of fish dishes. We invite you to immerse yourself in the essence of Mitoyo through all five senses.
During the day and night, "Toukaiya" reveals two distinct personas. In the daytime, it offers a tranquil atmosphere to savor the flavors of the region, while in the evening, it transforms into a lively rock music-filled pub. With an extensive selection of whiskies, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages, there's something for every taste.

    We cook it slowly with sea bream broth made from sea bream bones, head, and other parts. You can also enjoy it as ochazuke (rice with tea) to finish your meal.
    It takes about 25-30 minutes to cook the kamameshi. If you make a reservation, we can prepare it to be ready at the time you desire.

    Imodo(Japanese yam tofu), a local dish from the Shonai Peninsula in Mitoyo City, is made by grating grilled sea bream and wild yam in a mortar and mixing with sardine soup stock. It is eaten by pouring Imodo(Japanese yam tofu) over clear soup stock containing tofu cut into strips. You can also enjoy it deliciously by pouring it over rice.

    Satsuma, a local dish from the Shonai Peninsula in Mitoyo City, is made by breaking up grilled white fish, spreading it with grilled miso and fish stock, and eating it over piping hot rice. In the past, when grilling miso, people would spread miso on the lid of a pot or mortar and roast it to make it more fragrant.
